Almost There… (Updated!)

Okay, okay, I KNOW I’ve been saying no more beach shoots and that we’re on strike but, how can you miss out when you have something SO good as this?  Trisha is celebrating the last few days before the arrival of her second son, and she was joined by her husband Avi and son Aaron to a secret little spot I like to go to near Hollywood Beach.  We’re wishing Trisha and her family a HAPPY CONGRATULATIONS to her newest addition, and a special thanks to letting us be a part of this life changing time!TM0007TM0051TM0069TM0085TM0143Untitled-1TM0109

Update:  Thanks to everyone who’s left comments for Trisha and family, I’m SURE they appreciate.  And if you would be interested in a great photo shoot for yourself please don’t hesitate to contact us for your own great shoot!  Also, click the link to the left to view or purchase ALL of the great images from their shoot.  Enjoy!

Wait! You Went Where…? (Update)

So not to beat a dead horse, but yet again I took another opportunity to take a fun client on an amazing shoot that could have very easily been at the beach. But again, I am totally against that right now!  You may ask, “Meir, did something traumatic happen to you at a beach recently or in your past?”  “Did it have something to do with small children throwing sand buckets or other obnoxious behavior?”  “Do you just have a terrible aversion towards seeing snowbirds in swim suits two sizes too small?”  I say to these questions, Nay!  It’s just that when you look over the expanse of our work and the work of others, it’s just sooooo easy to just head to the beach.  And after a while it gets booooooring, and we do NOT want to be bored or become a staple of complacency around these parts.  So with that in mind, I bring to you a photo shoot that I had the pleasure of shooting this week with a client whom I can call a friend, Amanda.  Where did we go?  No place you would ever find yourself without really having to be there first!  But I think the results speak for themselves.  Most importantly we had a GREAT time.  Thanks Amanda!!!

Update:  I hope everyone’s been enjoying the sneak peek at this great session that we had!  Now, no more teasing, you can see the rest of them by clicking the link to the right.  Enjoy!!!

Awesome Contest with Awesome Sauce!

So by now I’m pretty sure that a certain video from YouTube has been made popular enough so that most of you guys have seen it.  If not, it’s definetely worth a look…I’ll give you a minute…

So it got us to thinking, why don’t MORE of our clients do something this neat to be talked about for years to come?  And then we figured it out, all you guys need is a little encouragement.  So with that, we decided to put together our first of many, AWESOMEST CONTEST EVER!  So here is the challenge.

Do something outstandingly creative!  Be it your grand entrance, your first dance, a special candle lighting ceremony or any different take on any traditional happenings on during your event.  We will capture it, and post it here, on our blog, for all of your friends and family to see and vote on.  At the end of the contest the person with the winning votes gets $1000 in reprint credits FREE from us.  $500 goes to our second place winner, and $250 to the third plus some special prizes to honorable mentions as well.

So what do you do from here?  First, think of a plan.  Second, make it an AWESOME plan.  Third, tell us about it so that we’re in the know and prepared (don’t worry, we won’t tell).  And fourth, show it off!

The contest will run till February 28th for events, but that’s NO time to wait!  Start your great ideas now!  And if you need inspiration here’s a little something from one of our more exciting clients from December of this past year!  for official contest rules, email me. meir@michaelanthonyphoto.com

Bryan Fisher’s Rockin’ Out!

So there we are, it’s 10am on Sunday morning, and where do we find ourselves?  In Downtown Fort Lauderdale where it’s gritty and grungy of course!  Now the rest of the world knows these type of images as “Lifestyle Portraits” but South Florida knows them as a Bar Mitzvah Poster Shoot.  And what do we do for said shoots?  Match it to the theme of the party for fun and profit!  Okay, mostly for fun.  So since I’m very against just your plain old, “Hey, lets go to the beach” type of photos as the answer for everything we took a trek down to the riverwalk part of town to really give Bryan a unique shoot all his own.  Not to mention a little trip to the area’s parking garage for some more face time with the Fort Lauderdale skyline.  All in all, a GREAT shoot, and an even better precursor for the event in September!

Mr. Executive

So a few weeks ago I was having a nice conversation with my oldest brother Eli, and we were chatting about his impending visit down here to Florida for the summer.  Now the reason why I bring this up is two fold, because my AMAZING brother (and his equally fantastic wife Eve) is something beyond a computer genius.  He is a coding GOD and the main one for me to thank in helping make an outstanding blog so that we can bring all of the latest news to you guys every week!  So with that, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him again for helping me understand all there is to be a blogger (it’s seriously insanely techy, and for anyone who knows me they might be shocked to hear me say that)!  The other reason as to why I bring this up is while he was in town he mentioned his dire need for new Execute Head shots, and of course I put him through the wringer to get some GREAT ones for his marketing.  Now I think this is important for everyone, especially in times like these, because in order to survive we ALL need to show just how well we can stand out from the crowd.  Plus, it never hurts to show off a little.  So with that I would like to remind all of our happy clients that now is the time to update your portfolio or marketing with some great, unique, and artistic head shots.
